Since September, we have been fundraising to update our playgrounds.

Thanks to a massive win at Tesco, we were able to get our Key Stage 2 playground built and it’s been a roaring success with the children.

We still need to carry on with the fundraising though… Our Key Stage 1 and Reception children also need a new playground. The one they have is unsafe to use in dap or wet weather so they have nowhere to play.

Physical exercise at playtime has been proven time and time again to not only help with childnre’ fitness levels, but with their concentration levels and also with how quickly their brain retains information. That’s why we want the best for them.

School playground equipment doesn’t come cheap though and we need to raise £22,000. You can help by pledging on our Spacehive page. You can help by coming along to Friends of South Street meetings and helping comme up with fundraising ideas, or you could even help by throwing loose change in our HUGE (empty) wine bottle on Mrs Smith’s desk.
